I wanna be a line crosser!!
I wanna cross
1) the line of unknown...(Hebrews 11:8)
2) the line of comfort....(Hebrews 11:9)
3) the line of impossible...(Hebrews 11:11)
" God delights in impossibility"
4) the line of positive affirmation..(Hebrews 11:13, Esther 4:14-4:15)
David Livingstone- the one who started to spread Christainity inAfrica..
5) the pull of the real world.. (Hebrews 11:15- 11:16, Galatians 4)

What type of shopper am i? hahas.

Jenn, you're a Savvy Shopper

Getting the best for the least is where it's at. And for you, it's your strength in the world of retail. As a savvy shopper, you know all the spots where you can get good deals. Maybe you show up early to be the first in line for the sale of the year. Knowing where and when to go is a huge part of bargain hunting and one you do well. You're probably no stranger to off-retail stores, factory outlets, warehouse sales, sample sales, and closeout sales. That's all par for the course when it comes to getting good deals. That doesn't mean that you'll skimp on the quality of the things you buy. That's what smart shopping is — factoring in the value of the product vs. the price and finding the best buy.Being a true bargain shopper is a real talent. It requires knowing the tricks of the trade and the right spots to shop. It also requires patience and determination. It's a sport and it's one that you seem to shine in sale after sale. Whether you've got a strict budget or a big bank account, you know how to get the most mileage out of your bucks. Way to go!

The rocks are in their places
The seagulls look for theirs
The flowers wait expectantly
Forgetting all their cares
The curtain clouds roll back to let you know
The show has just begun
We're about to see the setting of the sun

The sky has turned a yellow-gold
With fading signs of blue
The ocean green has turned to gray
With a shining path breaking through
A lonely seal swims by the screen
Diving just for fun
He has come to see the setting of the sun

And though the sun must set each day
And come back again
There will be a new sun soon
Whose day will never end
He's the maker of it all
The light of everyone
Soon we'll see the glory of the Son
The real One

hmm it's kinda stressful for me now..maybe it's partially due to the exams..but most importantly, sometimes i just feel as though im in a dream..a dream that goes on and on for days..and the worst thing is that i know im in a dream, and i wished that i can snap out of it soon...kinda floating here and there..haiz..

the papers were average..bio was a time management paper...chem prac was kinda a paper with low low LOW security...econs..( i didnt study, cant really comment much), chem ..im super careless...maths...im still careless...this time, in all the papers i did, i made lots of mistakes...perhaps it's because my heart wasnt there to begin with...no passion and mood.

=( haiz...nvm..anyway, the papers end liao..no use worrying..hmm science discovery centre trip this sunday!! =)

hmm im back!! hahas..:)..how come the holidays are kinda ending sooner and sonner than expected? haiz..anyway this holiday is kinda a healthy-living week..went to the nearby basketball court to play badminton with my mum and sis...( i gave up teaching her how to play...hahas..)..boring week ....kinda having the "" floating here, floating there"" feeling...feeling a bit dull and bored...and the worst thing is : i cant remember what i studied! and that's bad...coz the terms exams are kinda next week!! i cant even do maths..haiz mental block..bad bad bad bad state..

anyway went back to sch today..for chem. Mr. p.c was kinda furious...throwing the file, pushing the chair, and worst still, his face was kinda an indicator of his mood as well..the colour red. hmm everyone was worried...but still, after a while, he came back and continued talking...about chem as well as his teaching career, telling us how at the age of 7, he decided to be a teacher and never ever looked back. I kinda admired him for his devotedness....(is there such word) ..towards teaching, or is it stubborness.? hahas...talking about teaching, im kinda going haywire soon..suddenly wanna learn maths more and teach maths ( when i kinda cant even managed to do maths properly...worst still, i migh even become like Sharon Loh...like major in chem and minor in maths....

now to think of it, my passion of chem is caused by my chem teacher...hmm the way she taught me..the scoring system..( like in order to get A, we must score a certain mark for mcq)..hahas..in the past, though it's stressing a bit, we were kinda happy competing with one another..just like me and peggy..hahas..anyway...maths....

today was kinda a slack day..maths was rather boring..probably the strain..the stress of work..sleepy..woke up super early today la..crazy liao..didnt go for the science thingy...hahas..:) i didnt say how long mah..

maybe..maybe i was just frustrated over things that i can never have control of..like how other people treat things, stuff or even pple...maybe sometimes it's better not to see all these things clearly, instead leaving a region of murky waters in between. Sometimes it's better not to get too close, so that we cant get hurt, or even get affected easily by it.

today's devotional sorta reply the question that i had today...the talking about winning and losing..it's how u perceived it...winning and losing in life..
simply love this part of the devotional when it says that life is all about ups and downs. We're all going to have good days and bad days. Winners don't win all the time; losers don't lose all the time. In fact, most of the time, it's hard to tell the difference. You can't make one's experience the judge of everything. Pretty much all of sports tells us that winning is only a slight edge.

So what's the point of this for us? Experience isn't everything. If you're having a hard day, be patient, things are about to change. If you are cruising on top of things, enjoy it, because things are about to change. Change is the one constant for all of us, and those who are best prepared for it will have the best experience. If you expect things to always go well and get upset when they don't, you're in for making tough times tougher. If you are simply grateful for what each day brings, you will fare much better in the long run.

hmm still kinda upset over what actually happened...

what i really wanna say is that i truly existed.

Tickle test..hahas...nothing to do la...:

Jenn, your subconscious mind is most preoccupied with issues around your work life

On a conscious level, you might already be aware that something is troubling you, or eating up a lot of time when it comes to your work life. But it's also possible that thoughts and feelings about working have been preoccupying your subconscious mind — leaving you with nothing more than a general sense that things just don't feel 100% right in your life though you can't quite figure out why.You may question whether you should, or shouldn't be, working. You may be dissatisfied with your career or drained by the day-to-day of your job. Maybe people don't consider what you do to be valuable. Or maybe you're so frustrated with your work situation you avoid the topic all together.Whichever feelings hold true, your test results indicate that right now, your subconscious mind is working overtime to resolve the issues confronting you in this area of your life — even if you don't feel aware of it.

Selfless Love

totally love yesterday's devotional..

here it goes:
One Big Happy (Dysfunctional) Family
by John Fischer

The family that thrives is the one that can absorb conflict and failure and still exhibit love and acceptance at the end of the day. The family that fears its conflict and buries its unseemliness under a cloak of good impressions is the one that creates highly dysfunctional people who lug around suitcases of unresolved baggage and never get down to the real thing. Sometimes maintaining a happy family can be the worst thing you can do. It can drive a lot of powerful emotions underground, where they will eventually surface in unhealthy ways.

How much of being a Christian and going to church is all about appearances? Too much, at least in my experience. Too many of us act as if it were our responsibility to make God look good by showing ourselves as shiny happy people. In the end, we make God look bad, because we are dishonest in the worst sort of way; we are dishonest with ourselves. Do this long enough and you lose track of who you really are. I find that a lot of Christians get so far removed from who they are that they need professional counseling to help them face the truth about themselves. Most of this comes from getting good at living an impression rather than living the truth. We are too good for our own good.

Why is it that PKs and MKs (thats evangelical talk for preachers kids and missionary kids) always seem to have a reputation of being the most troubled kids in the church? Because pastors and missionaries have the most pressure on their families to maintain the best possible reputation. After all, isnt everyone looking to them to model the happy, successful Christian family? And so a disconnect develops between who we are and who we appear to be, and the wider that gulf, the more unhealthy the person.

How do we fix this? Give up pretext and love each other for the messes that we are. Isnt that the way God loves us? He sent His son to die for us while we were still in our sin, and that death is like a billboard for why we continually need Him (Galatians 3:1 NLT).
'
Have you lost your senses? Paul wrote to the Galatians. After starting your Christian lives in the Spirit, why are you now trying to become perfect by your own human effort? (Galatians 3:3 NLT)

Our human effort always covers everything up. Our life in the spirit brings it all out into the open because Jesus died for this, so we wouldnt have to hide. Lets love each other for who we are, instead of trying so hard to be loved for who we are not.

hmm hahas.. today is nus open house!! thgt that my tution was going to end late, in the end, it's didnt..hahas the open house was fun!! nearly follow the crowd blindly and wanted to alight at the wrong stop..rather amused at the signboard saying, " Please alight here.."..hahas..oh well..

nus is a huge place, in my opinion..:)hahas...open house was kinda a huge event, with nearly everyone giving out free stuff....and of course, we became typical Singaporeans..scooping stuff around..still liked that wristband...from the business school, exactly the colours i like..hmm after walking around, i kinda figured out what i wanna be...mathetican can be my later dream..but i think currently, my aim is to get into the business school, or to get into qualitative finance...i will...hahas...

rather frustrated with maths today..cant do it in the afternoon..love-hate relationship with it..hahas..

oh, after that, me, irwin, claire went to tiong bahru to eat..so funny la..coz we were carrying balloons like kids..and the balloons strings even tried to strangle me..here are some pics:

boo!! im back again!

hahas just died from two tutions periods back to back..maths then gp..simply love maths..i dunno why...it's kinda the on-off thingy..hmm but i love maths. hahas...

oh yesterday was super funny la..
morning was the beach-cleaning at east coast park..super tiring..i walked at least 2 km!! pretty funny..trying to steal the uncle's trash bags full of leaves...but didnt la..irwin was crazy la, obsessed with taking photos of the sea and his relatives- coconuts trees...haiz..but the scenery was great though....sea water is different shades of blue, while white fluffy clouds floated lazily across the perfect azure sky, pearly white sands, glittering sea-shells...( oh, i picked seashells by the seashore, but lost them on the way back..=(....) the ponds in East Coast looked a bit funny though.....and worst still, while cleaning the area, we looked like acjc students on corrective work order, because we littered in sch!!

hmm after that, we went to suntec..after making lots and lots of decisions...nearly missed the bus-stop..luckily i opened my eyes in time!! hahas.. it's funny la...and paul c was evil, making fun of karmen...never mind, i strongly believed that my dream will come true!! Jia you, karmen!!

After that, we went to pan pacific..and on our way there, me and karmen suddenly got cramps in our legs!! super funny!! the same leg, i think....
then we went to pan pacific....then to the career fair, where i felt more auntie..but who cares? hmm and we saw that cute senior there....hahas..me and karmen nearly died from carrying sooooooo much stuff...and we went to toys r us...and became kids once again....being a kid is great!! so many nice stuff to play with..the fluffy tiara, fluffy wand...and the feathery thingy..hahas...it's just cool yet kiddy to be in there..

then eating...eating ...eating..reading..reading..while karmen gets obsessed with the guy that sang tong hua...hahas..on our way home, it's pretty crazy...as we are carrying so much stuff la..

and the worst thing is...

i had to carry those bags of thing and walked my way home. 1.5 km.
ok..i nearly died..arms aching and legs...it's totally a mass pe session today..cum shopping..

how i wish that i will never grow up. be a kid always. :)

hahas..super funny, just did IQ test...emotional test IQ score is 121, while my IQ is 113..read an in-depth analysis of myself, using the score from the IQ test..super funny..but quite true la..concrete thinker..even the emotional IQ test further confirms it, even though they are not supposed to be linked...went on to do the " Brain-type" test and realised that im 'balanced brained!!"
--------
Balanced-brained

That means you are able to draw on the strengths of both the right and left hemispheres of your brain, depending upon a given situation. When you need to explain a complicated process to someone, or plan a detailed vacation, the left hemisphere of your brain, which is responsible for your ability to solve problems logically, might kick in. But if you were critiquing an art opening or coming up with an original way to file papers, the right side of your brain, which is responsible for noticing subtle details in things, might take over. While many people have clearly dominant left- or right-brained tendencies, you are able to draw on skills from both hemispheres of your brain. This rare combination makes you a very creative and flexible thinker. The down side to being balanced-brained is that you may sometimes feel paralyzed by indecision when the two hemispheres of your brain are competing to solve a problem in their own unique ways.

-------
Emotional IQ is 121.

This number is the result of a formula based on how many questions you answered correctly on Tickle's Emotional IQ test. But your Emotional IQ score is much more than just a number: it's an indicator of success. Research has shown that people with high emotional intelligence scores — not necessarily those with the highest IQ scores — tend to be the most valued and productive employees and have the longest and happiest romantic relationships. So, where are you most emotionally smart? Your test results show that your strongest suit is empathy — your ability to see things from someone else's point of view.

hahas..now i shall blog on what happened today: Founders' Day (120th)

morning was funny, especially when u see tons of people rushing here and there. and most of all, when u see people walking up and down, wearing scott shoes..stuffing lots and lots of tissue inside the shoes...shoe soles dropping up..haha anyway i think that i looked kinda silly in the sch's no.1 uniform. Even eric commented that i looked different. haiz..then the funniest part comes, when karmen asked whether i dropped into the toilet bowl or something..then i replied her, saying no...then my shoe box cover fell into the toilet bowl!! i shall not elaborate how i managed to rescue that cover...=(..

founders' day was boring..especially when you kept hearing speeches and speeches..the speech whereby the guest of honour commented that elections are coming was rather funny..and yup after a long long while, finally got up and received my prize ( which was rather disappointing..i expected cash..so that i can buy the watch that i had been eyeing for months..instead it was vouchers..)..nearly tripped..not once but twice...

then it was reception time..saw my mum and wanted to call her la..but she walked so fast..so i ended up running after her to the toilet, where i called 'mummy'..and could hear many women in the cubicles replying me..including my mum..hahas..

reception was werid..i hate reception la..but we managed to see the seniors that had helped us during the haunted house..haha talked about the upwards curve thingy on the eventual A level results..but it was quite funny...because earlier he waved to us, and i was kinda puzzled..because i knew that i had seen this person before, but just couldnt recall who that person is..

hahas...that guy is cute la..even amanda agrees...=P

then after reception, me , amanda and liz were kinda going crazy in the toilet, happily taking tons and tons of pictures..from the part whereby we did random shots of one another ( in the toilet!!)..to the mirror reflection shots..then amanda tried using the timer, but couldnt find a stand, so.....the three of us squeezed into a cubicle and wanted to take photos..but amanda realised that the timer wasnt working so she checked the camera and that's when the shot was taken..the timer worked eventually...but taking a photo of the cubicle..without us..

hahas..today's a funny day...cubicle shots...scott shoes running competition...the tearing of stockings..( oh, my first pair of stockings got a hole!!!)

out of all, i still love the part whereby the songs were sang...:) and at times, i really wondered....eventually when we all returned home to God, i think that it will just be like today's prize giving ceremony..where God is our parents, seated at the audience seats, beaming with pride while he sees us go up to stage to receive our 'awards'.

Scoring As in examinations may not necessarily score you an A in your life.

hmmm being abstract today...=0
